when its day light i am soposed to be cleaning my room.
its nice to actaully be able to say my room.

i have officlay become pissed off at the fact
that i have to climb over a pile of crap
to get clothes out of my dresser.

its been almost an entier month sence we moved in.
and my room still looks like a storage center…..
though to be honest we all knew that this was going to happen.

so on to something productive……
(a word that i will not be tomarrow!)

lauren and i have recently joined up with the folks over at studio sundaywho are currently working on a project
which is right now entitled “fairy tales/folk lore + unexpected theme”
(we are working on the name)
lauren and i have decided to work together on this
and that means that there is going to be an animation + a book
we decided
(because we were just going to but heads if somebody did not take the lead)
that lauren would be at the helm of the animation…
and i would tend to the book….
though the other would play a huge part in the production and brainstorming
of the other.

so in short an actual combination of both our talents.

OHOHOH! and we finally get to use the bumper that i made for her thesis
that get not get used….
YAY!

speaking of thesis i need to set up my desktop in order to get my pics of thesis off of it….

*grubmle grumble*

oh and this has been stuck in my head all night

at about 4:30 am lauren is knocking on my door.
i had JUST gotten comfortable.
“chapa, somethings going down on the corner” she says.
though the blinds i see red and blue flashing.
and because it has been programed into my head
by my father since birth….
i go out side to see what is happening.
as soon as i open the door i smell smoke.
the fact that there is a haze of smoke and fire engines everywhere registers soon after.
there are tons of people on the street.
the guy who lives in the apartment above us
tells us that the building on the corner is on fire.
i look down the street and see flames shooting out the window.
first thing that comes to mind is oh my god.
i hope everyone is alright.

as i type this i can still hear the trucks.
the fire is out now.
everyone got out ok.
though someone might have lost a cat.
there is police line tape attached to our front stoop
everyone who was in that building is huddled outside on our corner.
plus on lookers.
the red cross is here to help.
i still feel like i should do something to help.

tomorrow we are buying renters insurance
a fire extinguisher
and batteries for our smoke detector.

i cant sleep right now.
im still to freaked out.

right now
im sitting in my living room
sketching x-mas cards
that will eventually be re-drawn on coasters
that i took from the pub.
they will be sent out to 20 random people
that i pick out of the phone book.
SURPRISE!!!

also i decided that i will create a category and tag section for my sketches.
sence they are not finished pieces of art they do not belong on the website.
i will start doing that thursday i think

my tummy hurts….
stupid ability to bring a human life into the world
*shakes fist*

so we did it.
we moved.
i have my own room.
well right now it looks like a storage space.
with an airbed in it.

right now it does not feel like home.
its so new
so differnt
but its not the first time i have done this though.
soon it will feel like home.
soon it will feel like my place.
my space.
soon it will feel like where i belong.

but right now everything is in shambles.
things are still in boxes.
the same boxes that things have been in for over a year.
though it will have to wait for tomorrow.
right now i am watching a movie with lauren and eating popcorn.
well we were eating popcorn.
its all gone now.

things are sorta crazy right now.

we are moving out on the first.

to an apartment on the east side.

i cant wait.

i want my own room so bad.

a real bed.

im sick right now.

with a sore throat.

and is hosting my site on his server.

i actually have this game sitting in the attic.

so by now you should have realized that i am a complete dork
and so are most of my friends.
because of this we do dorky things….
like make themed presents and cakes for our teenage friends birthdays.

a friend of mine ( going to stop calling her my roommates little sister)
turned 15 this weekend
i am to blame for her two most dorkyest televised obsessions…
Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who.

now…..
being the unemployed broke ass person that i am
i realized that i could not buy her something amazing
hell i can hardly afford bus fair
so i decided to put that BFA to good use
and make her a present.
with some pva glue
cardbord
computer paper
thread
and the knowledge i gained from
4 years of painting classes
and the summer Ireland book arts
this was created

i also made her cake….
which would have been better
if i had the ability to raid my mom cake decorating supplys…
but alas they are in rockford
and the cake and i were in MKE.
but it still turned out fairly amazing
for what i was working with..

things this summer were kind of crazy
and things sense i have been back have been just as crazy
though i have been making things
pictures for each will be posted shortley…

im still seeking employment…
*crosses fingers*

and i have been confused about some personal things as well.
mostly things having to do with boys.
as usual…

tomarrow i have to make a cake for maddies birthday…
its going to be in the shape of the T.A.R.D.I.S
dorky and amazing

i have also become obsessed with the show true blood…
the opening is amazing.
